The Importance of OSH Performance Reports

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are quantifiable performance measurements selected to assess progress in the achievement of OSH objectives at entity level, sector level and Emirate Level.

Government and Private Sector entities are required to submit their OSH performance reports on quarterly basis as requirements of Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health System (OSHAD SF), after approval of their OSHMS.

Performance reports, are one of the tools used to monitor compliance with OSHAD SF through:

  • Ensuring recording of all occupational incidents, serious and non-serious and their consequences for employees, contractors and other persons.
  • Calculating Injury rates
  • Ensuring Management of contractors
  • Follow up on annual OSHMS third party audit
  • Provision of qualified OSH resources
  • Provision of training for employees
  • Registration of OSH practitioners in Qudorat

Forms used for performance reports include the following:

Form E

To be used by Entities within sector to report on their Quarterly OSH Performance to the concerned Sector Regulatory Authority.

Form E1

to be used by the Sector Regulatory Authorities to report on the Sectors Quarterly OSH Performance to OSHAD.

Form E2

to be used by Government Entities to report their Quarterly OSH Performance to OSHAD.

Objectives of Performance Reporting:

  • to ensure full implementation of OSHMS and compliance with OSHAD SF requirements;
  • to measure OSH performance at Sector and Emirate level;
  • to establish an OSH database, baselines and trends.

Reporting Submission Period

Reporting period by Entities (Government and Private Sector) is as follows:

  • Mid-April for 1st Quarterly Report: January - March of each year;
  • Mid-July for 2nd Quarterly Report: April - June of each year;
  • Mid-October for 3rd Quarterly Report: July - September of each year;
  • Mid-January (of next year) for 4th Quarterly Report: October - December of each year; and
  • End of January (of next year) for Annual Report (Jan-Dec of each year).

Reporting period by Sectors (Sector Regulatory Authorities), is as follows:

  • End of April for 1st Quarterly Report: January - March of each year;
  • End of July for 2nd Quarterly Report: April - June of each year;
  • End of October for 3rd Quarterly Report: July - September of each year;
  • End of January (of next year) for 4th Quarterly Report: October - December of each year; and
  • Mid-February (of next year) for Annual Report (Jan-Dec of each year).

Starting 2016, Performance Reports are submitted through AL ADAA OSH Electronic Database.
